Frequently asked
Bifold door questions, answered
What is the difference between the Soho and Contemporary bifold collections?
The Soho Collection delivers the slim black-framed, steel-look industrial aesthetic with signature knurled hardware; the Contemporary Collection maximises glass with wide panels and clean modern lines. Both are Origin systems, made to measure in the UK – the choice is purely about the look you want for your home.
Where are Origin bifold doors made?
Origin doors are manufactured in the UK at Origin's Buckinghamshire facility, which is why lead times are short and every door is genuinely made to measure for your opening rather than adapted from stock sizes.
What guarantee do Origin doors come with?
Origin offers industry-leading guarantees of up to 20 years on their door systems, backed by a UK manufacturer. As the installing company we handle any aftercare locally, so the guarantee has someone behind it.
What colours and finishes are available?
A wide range of RAL colours covers virtually any shade, including dual-colour options with one finish inside and another outside. Hardware ranges from the Soho signature knurled handles in six finishes to contemporary stainless and colour-matched aluminium levers.
Do you install as well as supply?
Yes – every project includes a free design consultation, a detailed technical survey before manufacture, and installation by our own experienced fitters, with aftercare from a local Hertfordshire company.
How do I get a price for bifold doors?
Send us your approximate opening width and height with a photo of the space and we can usually give you a realistic guide price before any site visit. Our cost guide also covers typical price ranges if you want to budget first.
